🎯 The Purpose & Goal

Ling, a fast-growing language learning app start-up, brought their regional leadership team together from Thailand and across the APAC region to Chiang Mai. Their mission was twofold: run intensive annual strategy and brainstorming sessions, while giving the team space to fully unplug from screen fatigue, connect deeply as humans, and ground themselves in nature. 

To balance work and family life, the co-founders also brought their kids and aunt along for a meaningful "workation."

🌿 Daily Flow at La Tierra

Day 1 – Adventure & Warm Connection: 

Before arriving at La Tierra, the team embarked on a 2–3 hour adventurous waterfall hike guided by an authentic local tribal guide, enjoying our packed lunch by the water. 

Upon checking in, they were welcomed with cold local herbal drinks. 

The evening kicked off with a 3-course Thai-fusion dinner, followed by an "Actual Life" board game night, hosted by Pim - La Tierra’s co-owner, to foster deep connection, shared dreams, and personal stories.

The rest of stay: Day 2 and 3

• Early Morning – Sunrise Yoga (Optional): For early risers, the day started gently at The Sala Area with an optional morning yoga session led by one of Ling's co-founders, who guided her teammates through a refreshing practice surrounded by nature.
• Intentional Breakfast: Each morning began with an à la carte breakfast ordered the night before, setting an intentional, stress-free tone for the day's strategic work.
• Strategy & Breakout Sessions: The team dove into big-picture planning in the main meeting room before splitting into smaller focus groups scattered around the serene outdoor areas. High-speed internet across the sanctuary allowed them to seamlessly patch in remote leaders who couldn't join in person.
• Afternoon Refreshments & Relaxed Dining: Hand-selected lunches from local favorite spots kept energy high. In the afternoons, our team served fresh refreshments, while some team members opted for restorative Thai massages before dinner.
• Evening – Campfire & Connection: After dinner, the group gathered at the Campfire Circle under the stars to grill German sausages (brought by the guests!) and unwind together.

Final Day – Extended Wrap-Up: 

After another productive day of planning, the team took full advantage of a flexible late check-out (extending to 6:00 PM) to finalize their roadmap and prepare for their upcoming year of success.

🏡 How Spaces Were Used

• Transformation Room (140+ sqm): Equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, a projector, screen, and flipcharts, this space served as the main command center for strategy sessions, presentations, and virtual team dial-ins.
• The Sala Area & Dining Area: Used as inspiring outdoor breakout spaces for small-group discussions and brainstorming in fresh air.
• Communal Campfire Circle: Hosted relaxed evening gatherings for sausage grilling, laughter, and casual team bonding.

To ensure both the business goals and family needs were fully met, our team provided:

• Family-Friendly Care: Prepared custom kid-friendly meals (like pasta!) to keep the little ones happy while the parents focused on leadership sessions.
• Hybrid Meeting Infrastructure: Ensured high-speed, reliable Wi-Fi across the property for smooth virtual attendance.
• Flexible Schedule: Accommodated an extended 6:00 PM late check-out so the team never felt rushed.
