🎯 The Purpose & Goal

A Christian youth ministry brought their group to La Tierra for an impactful weekend getaway to mark the grand finale of their multi-week educational program. They needed a secure, private sanctuary where they could conduct energetic worship sessions, powerful preaching, and Holy Spirit empowerment without worrying about disturbing outside guests. 

Practical lodging flexibility, room for outdoor fun, and dedicated spaces to build lifelong friendships were essential.

🌿 Daily Flow at La Tierra

• Interactive Buffet Breakfast: To accommodate a lively 34-person group smoothly, breakfast was served buffet-style. The highlight was a DIY egg station where the youths loved cooking their favorite eggs to top off their morning meal!
• Daytime Learning & Outdoor Adventure: Mornings were spent in the main meeting room diving into biblical study. In the afternoon, the group headed out for a thrilling white-water rafting excursion along the local river—taking full advantage of the high water levels during the rainy season.
• Late Afternoon – Free Time & Connection: After returning from rafting, guests relaxed across the grounds—gathering at The Sala Area to play board games, chat, and spend quality time connecting with each other and with God.
• Evening – Family-Style Dinner & Evening Worship: Dinner was served Thai family-style, with shared platters placed across tables for everyone to pass around and enjoy together. Afterward, the group gathered in the Transformation Room for high-energy worship, teaching, and prayer.
• Night – Campfire & Storytelling: To close out the day, everyone gathered around the Campfire Circle under the night sky, grilling marshmallows and sweet corn to stay warm while sharing personal stories and reflections.

🏡 How Spaces Were Used

• Transformation Room (140+ sqm): Custom-configured with sound and seating for dynamic worship sessions, biblical teaching, and spiritual ministry.
• Cottages & Outdoor Tents: Accommodated the 34 guests with clear gender separation across cottages and private rooms. To comfortably fit the full group, 2 tents were pitched on the terrace of the Double House, giving those tent guests easy access to the open-air bathroom setup.
• The Sala Area: Served as the central hub for casual games, group chats, and downtime.
• Communal Campfire Circle: Provided the perfect cozy setting for evening fireside chats, worship songs, and grilled snacks.

🚐 Logistics & Support Handled by La Tierra

To make running a large youth event seamless for the pastors and staff, our team provided:

• Youth-Friendly Meal Setups: Arranged an efficient buffet with the interactive DIY egg bar, plus communal family-style dinners.
• Custom Room & Stage Setup: Prepared the main indoor hall specifically for worship, teaching, and prayer sessions.
• Excursion Coordination: Partnered with a trusted local adventure team to organize a safe and exciting white-water rafting trip.

🤝 Local & Ethical Impact

This youth camp supported our local ecosystem by:

• Supporting Local Adventure Operators: Partnering with a small, locally-owned rafting company to provide guided river excursions.
• Sourcing Fresh Local Produce: Purchasing local sweet corn, fresh eggs, and regional ingredients from nearby farmers for daily meals and campfire snacks.
