What to Expect

Spend a truly special day connecting with rescued elephants in a loving, safe, and ethical space. We partner directly with a wonderful local, family-owned sanctuary for this experience—in fact, our own family loves visiting them whenever we get the chance!

Instead of riding or forcing behaviors, this experience is all about respecting the elephants. You'll get to chop and prepare their healthy treats, feed them by hand, and walk alongside them as they roam freely in their natural jungle habitat. The local care team will share their personal stories, helping your group understand how ethical tourism gives these gentle giants a happy, peaceful life.

• Start Times: 9:30 AM or 1:30 PM
• Duration: Half-Day (~2–2.5 hours on-site)
• Drive: ~20–25 minutes each way from/to La Tierra
• Difficulty Level: Easy (Gentle walking alongside the elephants)

What to Bring & Wear

• Comfortable walking shoes or sturdy sandals
• A change of dry clothes (in case you get a little dusty or messy!)
• Sunscreen, hat & bug repellent
